Mark Your Calendars: Morton Clean Up Day is May 2, 2026!

Spring cleaning just got easier! The City of Morton is excited to announce its annual Clean Up Day, a FREE community service provided by Sweetman Sanitation, on Saturday, May 2, 2026. This is a great opportunity for residents within city limits to get rid of old junk, broken furniture, and general household waste without the hassle of a trip to the landfill.

Set it Out Early!

To ensure your items are picked up, everything must be curbside by 6:00 a.m. on Clean Up Day. Crews will begin promptly, and late set-outs may be missed.

What You Can Put Out:

  • Old Furniture
  • Bulky Junk
  • Scrap Metal
  • General Household Waste
  • Bagged Leaves and Grass

Whether it’s that old recliner taking up space in the garage or leftover scrap metal from a project, now’s your chance to clear it out.

What Not to Include:

To keep the process safe and efficient, please do not place the following items at the curb:

  • TVs and Monitors
  • Appliances
  • Tires
  • Hazardous Waste (includes wet paint, pesticides, chemical containers, motor oil, and filters)
  • Loose Construction Debris

  2. Attach the tag to your mattress before placing it at the curb.
  3. Place it curbside by 6 a.m. on May 2.
