The City Offices are the emergency management hub headquarters for the City of Morton. This is where residents are invited to ask questions regarding ordinances, home rehab loans, planning and zoning, pay their bill as well as where general elections, all EDA meetings and city council meetings are held.

Home Rehab Loans

Are you looking to get new windows, new roof, new siding or add on to your home in the City of Morton? Funds are available for housing rehab projects. Applications and guidelines are available from Pam Ring or online. Loans are made based on income, qualifications, need, and credit review.

Planning & Zoning

City Ordinances

City ordinances are created when a problem or situation is brought to the city council. The situation is rectified in the best way possible and a policy or ordinance amendment is put into place to add similar future situations or problems. Learn more about current standing city ordinances.

Meet Pam Ring, Our City Clerk and Treasurer

Pam Ring is responsible for accounting and budgeting for all departments of the city. The City Clerk's duties are as follows:

  • Prepares and distributes agenda packets for council meetings
  • Attends all council meetings and records minutes
  • Responsible for utility billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, elections, and writing policies
  • Works with businesses interested in expanding or relocating in the community
  • Participates in area economic development groups to enhance the economic development of the community
  • Responsible for recommendations of disciplinary action of all department heads
  • Participates in the hiring process
  • Responsible for communication with residents, surrounding communities, and city council and the State offices
  • Promotes the community through web development and updating
