Morton Clean Up Day 2026

The City of Morton’s annual Clean Up Day is back on Saturday, May 2, 2026. This free service, provided by Sweetman Sanitation, gives residents an easy way to dispose of unwanted household items, bulky junk, and scrap materials.
All items must be placed curbside by 6:00 a.m. to ensure pickup. Crews will begin early, and late set-outs may not be collected.
Accepted Items:
- Old furniture
- Bulky junk
- Scrap metal
- General household waste
- Bagged leaves and grass
Items Not Accepted:
- TVs and monitors
- Appliances
- Tires
- Hazardous waste such as wet paint, pesticides, chemical containers, motor oil, and filters
- Loose construction debris
Mattress Disposal:
Mattresses require a $10 tag, available at Morton City Hall. Tags must be purchased by Thursday, April 30, 2026, and attached before placing the mattress at the curb. Untagged mattresses will not be collected.
