DESCRIPTION:Nothing encourages a little spring clean up like someone telling you that they have a good place for you to get rid of your stuff with little to no hassle! Now introducing the Morton Area Community Foundation’s Garage Sale. Help them raise funds for future projects by doing some spring cleaning around your home! \nCalling {Nearly All} Donations\nMorton Area Community Foundation is taking your gently used items for donation to use as a fundraiser for their future projects. They ask that you drop your items off at the Morton City Hall during business hours anytime from now until May 15\, 2024. \nPlease be considerate when trying to donate items. Our office is only so big so we encourage you to keep to clothing\, shoes\, books and small household items and children toys. Although we appreciate your thoughtfulness of donating a bookshelf or a bedframe\, we encourage you to contact Morton Area Community Foundation before donating any large items. \nVolunteer Request\nIf you have ever held your own garage sale\, you know the work that goes into making these as successful as possible. Now add in lots of generous donations (knowing how great our Morton community is!)\, there will be a lot of prep work\, work at the event itself and clean up afterwards. If you are interested in helping make this event a success\, please contact the Morton Area Community Foundation and they will get back to you on how to get started. \nMorton Area Community Foundation Projects\nThis fundraiser will go towards benefiting the Morton Area community as a whole\, an overall goal of the Morton Area Community Foundation. This organization works hard to fund and establish projects that improve the community as a whole. Examples of previous projects include but are not limited to the beautification of Morton project\, Santa event and the painting of the Morton Senior Center. Future projects the Morton Area Community Foundation plans to work towards include ball field improvements\, adding a soccer field and adding more activities for the community youth. \nMark Your Calendars for the Garage Sale!\nSave the date for May 16\, 2024 to attend and support the Morton Area Community Foundation Garage Sale! Events like these are only as impactful and successful as the amount of people who come out to support them. Invite your friends\, family and neighbors to come out and check out all the goodies collected from the community. We have a feeling there’s going to be some good deals you won’t want to miss out on!
